You will be extending your field of options and at the same time this will increase your self-confidence. But you may also improve your self-confidence by the things you don't do. During the therapy, you will have to manage without coffee, alcohol, cigarettes...To begin with, you may feel that doing without these is unacceptable. But you will then discover that overcoming your dependency on stimulants, for instance, is not as impossible as you had thought, and that relaxation does not have to be associated with cigarettes, but is achieved much better by walking, yoga, dancing… You will experience a feeling of freedom and autonomy that will increase your self-esteem. In this sense, the entire duration of your treatment is a practice- run for a healthier way of life.

Our multi-faceted health education programme is focused on helping you to make changes. It includes discussion groups and lectures on general medical topics as well as other relevant topics such as psychology, nutrition and movement therapy. Your stay here is an opportunity to gather practical experience, for example in preparing healthy, nourishing meals or the proper use of fitness equipment. In our "Back School" (Corrective posture exercises) you will learn to prevent or to treat damage caused by incorrect posture. And you will discover many possibilities to extend your range of open-air physical activities, which might include learning Nordic Walking, to mention only one option.
