One of the good things about fasting is getting by with very little. Therefore, please do not overload your suitcase.
What should I bring with me?
- Up-to-date medical reports if available.
- Medicine which you take regularly, in sufficient quantities or relevant prescriptions from your GP.
- Comfortable daywear according to the season.
- Rainwear and a warm pullover are recommended for excursions.
- Sportswear and swimwear, where appropriate tennis and golf clothing, comfortable walking boots, flip-flops etc.
- One or two elegant items of clothing just in case.
- Perhaps a diary. This can be used to enter all the insights you experience during the fasting period. This can be a great help after the fast, especially if you find yourself reverting to old ways.
- One or two books you have been wanting to read; a small selection of light to more demanding reading material is also available from us.
There is a bathrobe and hairdryer in your room.
Should I bring work with me?
We have had both: guests who wrote a complete novel a film script and others who have arrived with 20 kg of files and taken them home again without unpacking them. If you can afford to do so, come to us without the pressure of work! Treat yourself to the freedom of doing whatever you may want to do on the spur of the moment.
Please note that on your day of arrival, your room is available to you from 3.30 p.m. onwards. On the day of departure, you should vacate your room by 12 noon.
