The climate on the Costa del Sol is characterised by mild, consistent temperatures with an average temperature of approx. 18 degrees Celsius. As Marbella is protected by the Sierra Blanca, the city enjoys a very mild micro-climate with more than 300 days of sunshine per year. The cool breezes coming in from the Atlantic help to make the midsummer temperatures more bearable. The heaviest rainfalls occur between November and March. In winter the temperatures very seldom fall below 0°C.
